The Midlands Gaming Coalition is excited to offer a hands-on PC Building Camp designed for youth ages 13–18 who are interested in technology, computers, and STEM learning. Over the course of four days, participants will learn how to assemble a complete computer from the ground up, gaining valuable skills and confidence in hardware, components, and real-world tech problem-solving.
Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students will explore each component inside a computer, learn how parts work together, and complete a full build by the end of camp. Once finished, the completed PC will be donated to the James E. Clyburn Technology Center, helping expand access to technology for local youth and families.
This camp not only teaches practical skills—it gives participants the opportunity to directly support their community.
What Participants Will Learn:
Understanding PC components and their functions
Safe handling of computer hardware
Step-by-step assembly of a full computer
Troubleshooting and testing a completed build
Real-world technical skills that support future STEM pathways
This camp is perfect for teens with an interest in computers, gaming, engineering, or technology careers. Space is limited.
